Pathway to Success
Although the Skills Partnership provides a wide range of different courses including Apprenticeships and NVQ’s, the underpinning learner journey remains the same, the key elements of this pathway to success are shown below.
What can be acheived?
A full Apprenticeship programme will give you the following qualifications:
NVQ – a nationally recognised qualification where you will develop and use your skills and knowledge at work to evidence that you can meet national standards in your sector.
Technical Certificates – These certificates assess specific occupational underpinning knowledge and understanding.
Key Skills – These are qualifications for Skills required in the world of work. You will achieve key skills qualifications at level 1 or 2 in “communication” and “application of number”.
If a full Apprenticeship is not appropriate for you, you may decide to access a stand alone qualification (e.g. an NVQ).

How long will it take?
This will depend on an employee’s experience, ability and their employer’s requirements. The full Apprenticeship programme may take up to 9 (level 2) or 12 (level 3) months through monthly tutor contacts/visits and reviews. However, “ fast track” off site delivery options are also available.
Who could take part?
The courses offered by TSP could be accessed by anyone aged 16+ who is looking to progress in their industry.
For Apprenticeships, funding is available for employees aged 16-24 who are not already in full time education and who do not hold a Higher Education award (a degree, HNC/HND etc).
Funding for NVQ's may also be requested for employed adults aged 19+ who do not already hold a full level 2 qualification (5 GCSE’s graded A*-C or equivalent).
